Introduction :
- Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) is a specialized field of firefighting that deals with the emergency response, mitigation, evacuation, and rescue of passengers and crew of aircraft involved in aviation accidents and incidents.
- ARFF professionals are trained to handle the unique challenges associated with aircraft fires, including the rapid spread of fire, toxic fumes, and the potential for large amounts of fuel to be involved.
- They work closely with airport personnel, air traffic control, and emergency medical services to ensure a coordinated and effective response to any aircraft emergency.
